This summer the team at Pepe’s Italian and Liquor are taking you to the Amalfi coast. The scene is set with lemon trees, bougainvillea, custom hand-painted ceramics, and Italian coastal vistas, all reminiscent of the romance of the Mediterranean. The menu incorporates cuisine from the Campania region in Italy to bring you the quintessential tastes of the coastline.

Snack on Antipasti such as Fritti Misto, Suppli Telephono, a dish similar to Arancini from nearby Roma, Scarpece Peppers or Mortadella with Gnocco Fritto. The Spicy Vodka Rigatoni continues as an all-time favourite, but this Summer there are some real showstoppers. Leap into carb heaven with the Paccheri alla Nerano, a world-famous zucchini pasta from the seaside paradise of Nerano. Macaroni Alla Gricia is the pasta that made Carbonara famous, and Spaghetti Vongole, the classic that never gets old.

All Pepe’s pasta is made fresh in-house daily. There are some new heroes in the pizza oven. The Parmigiana is bound to be every vegetarian’s (and meat eater’s) favourite new pizza, complete with crunchy Eggplant chips; or the Angry Rita, a Margarita on crack, with spicy sugo and topped with a tonne of Stracciatella.Let’s not forget the sweets. Indulge in the Salted Caramel Profiteroles, a crunchy profiterole dripping in sweet and salty caramel sauce, or the Amarena Cherry Custard and Pistachio Cannoli, our house made signature cannoli bursting with flavour and crunch.

Take a seat at the bar – you won’t want to go past the Amalfi Glitter; made with lemon myrtle vodka, Strega, Sorrento lemon, orange blossom honey and sherbet, this sweet knock-out pays homage to the citrus of the region. Or try the Salerno Soul, a refreshing summer sip made with vodka, Aperol, ginger beer and rhubarb bitters, or the Raspberry Beret, a fruity mix of raspberry shrub, gin, antica and martini bitter.
